Introduction
This workshop is for supervisors of staff working with young people with complex trauma in residential care. Just as effective therapy for young people who have experienced complex trauma requires adaptation of specific therapeutic interventions, the same applies to the supervisory process.
By attending this workshop, you will acquire the core values and principles of trauma-informed supervision and the requisite knowledge and skill base for supervising trauma informed, therapeutic residential care.
This workshop is informed by current research, equips supervisors to provide trauma-informed supervision to meet the needs of therapeutic residential workers the complex array of challenges posed by young people living in residential care.

Presenter: This training is presented by Noel MacNamara, Deputy Director for the Centre for Excellence in Therapeutic Care. Noel Macnamara is a social worker with over 35 years of experience as a clinician, supervisor and executive with a wide range of services with children adolescents and families.
